Once Upon a Time there lived a beautiful young woman interning at a local fashion magazine in London. Here this woman would fall in love too easily with a man who was only in for the day buying out the new stock for his boss’ collection but that was all it took. She thought they were forever and he well, you know they say guys are only after one thing and once this certain guy had acquired that he ran off quick as you like. Heartbroken and only nineteen Elizabeth Brighton really wasn’t ready to raise a baby all by herself but from the day Nicholas was born she hasn’t regretted anything in her life for one moment. When Nicholas was thirteen she met another man and unlike the first he truly loved her and looked after her, treating Nicholas as if he were his own and soon enough he started to feel like he had a father after all even if he did feel extremely protective of his mother. After Nick’s step father proposed he jetted the whole family back to New York to live with him and start over, leaving their life of struggle in England behind. Since then Nick has never looked back.
With two successful parents working in both the fashion and business industry Nick now has more money than he could ever possibly spend and a bright future ahead of him. Raised by his mother for the first thirteen years of his life he was taught to respect women, always be polite even if you don’t especially like your company and chew with your mouth closed! His step father brought a certain aura of class to the family which Nick grew to imitate until he became, for a lack of better description, a full blown snob. He is the personification of the word ‘posh’ and everything about Nick right down to the just shined enough tip of his black dress shoes is proper. Although he would never stoop to openly insulting another person he manages just fine with the way he looks down at those around him and sarcasm is one of his best assets. Nick could care, he really could but that would require time and effort he doesn’t really have the time to waste on the likes of you. His top button will always be done up, he’ll drink champagne and never be caught dead crawling out of a club with scantily clad women like, for example, Chuck Bass. He likes his life just how it is thank you very much. He’s grateful for it, for his family, more than anything in the world.
However there is something on the Upper East Side he can’t help but be completely baffled by and yet strangely drawn to and that is Alexandra Archibald. She is perhaps the most despicable excuse for a lady in the whole city and yet her wild ways and complete lack of reasoning or sense of consequence have him itching to find out how she does it. Why does she do it? Could he ever be like that? Free? Just doing whatever he wanted just for the ‘hell of it’? Nick tells himself he’s being ridiculous and that his place is always going to be beside the silver spoons and not on the sidewalk with the rest of the commoners. Although he’s aware Alexandra is an attractive girl he is not attracted to her. He isn’t, he couldn’t be. She’s just so out of his world, it’s laughable. Still, the idea of it all is something he’s finding himself drawn to more and more these days and surely just speaking to the girl couldn’t do him much harm? Could it? Well why don’t you unbutton that top button Nicholas and find out?
You know you love me,
